I absolutely LOVE both chickpeas and hummus. In fact, the first recipe I ever remember “snipping” was a recipe for hummus in the Globe and Mail. How ironic that this comes from the same location (although from a different chef).
I’ve made a lot of hummus; some turned out well and some didn’t. I must say that I think this is my favourite so far. I like mine with lots of garlic & lemon juice and this was exactly that. I did modify the recipe very slightly — I added 2 garlic cloves instead of only one, and I kept a tiny bit of the chickpea “juice” in the mixture to keep it a bit more moist.
Excuse the bad photo — hummus must be one of the hardest things to photograph!
