September 2013 Favourites

◌ #GBBO aka Great British Bake Off. I’ve known about this show for a while but never tuned in, thinking “oh I’m not really a baker.” What a mistake! I love it. This show is so much more than baking. It is about taking pleasure in simple things, and good genuine people.

◌ On confidence in the kitchen & how to shortcut a recipe – an excellent reminder/lesson.

This.

◌ Pilates. I’ve become addicted to my weekly class and even after only 4 weeks I can feel that my body is stronger. I also re-started yoga and am enjoying that too.

◌ How to be generous. Imagine if everyone did just 5 of these?

◌ Good travel tips for even the most experienced.

◌ While H. and the rest of the world obsessed over Breaking Bad, I’ve become addicted to the first season of The Killing, a Danish crime series from 2007.

◌ Books: I read a really eye-opening book this month on the topic of olive oil fraud, Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive OilHe has an accompanying website here where you can find out which oil is the best to buy. Another good one (fiction) is Above All Things.
